Civil disturbances

There have been signs of discontent in urban areas in both the UK and France in 2005, and the emergency services are always in the front line. Just before CRJ went to press these rumblings erupted into full blown violence in France.

Also, in September, violence and disorder broke out in Northern Ireland, with emergency services and the military coming under attack.
